Kristins Gifts Review and Giveaway

Yes, I know I'm wayyyyy behind on this, and I apologize profusely.  There's really no good excuse for this, so I won't try to tell you.  Let's just say that things were HECTIC here for a good two months!

Anyway...Here goes!! Kristins Gifts. Have you heard of them?  

I'm a big pen and stationary person.  I like all kinds of pens and all kinds of unique stationary.  And this is about as unique as you can get.  I first won a small notebook from a twitter party a while back and became hooked on these.  Then Kristins Gifts graciously sent me a WAFF pad and a WAFF book, along with some WAFF cubes to personalize them.  What can I say about these?  They are AWESOME!

And an incredible conversation starter.  

I pulled out my WAFF book and I now use it for my journal.  I've personalized it with the letter M, because lets face it...I don't have much of an imagination when it comes to this type of stuff.  As for my WAFF pad, yep...it sits on my desk for me to use.  I put a diagonal pattern on it and I love it.  I also use my WAFF book Mini all the time to take notes when I'm out and about.  Again, it's a great conversation starter.

Happy Birthday Monster and a GIVEAWAY!!!

Sunday was Monster's 4th birthday.  (Where has time gone?)  Instead of one party, we did a couple days of celebrations.  It started on Thursday.  We took Monster to one of our favorite stores for NEW BOOTS!!!

I LOVE walking into a store and seeing a wonderful display like this!!! There's a lot of hard work here!!

Now, on to the BOOTS section!

This is the lovely saleslady that helped us with finding the right size for him...and it was hard because he didn't want to hold still.

Here he is walking down the row to try on the boots.  He was more interested in all the trucks they had over there.

So, now Monster has a new pair of boots, and of course we can't get these off his feet either. 

We also went to the Houston Zoo with him, and he got a BIG BOY BED.  But that will be another post.  So...now for the giveaway!

Earth Day 2013 and Glass Dharma Review and Giveaway

I've always been an eco-friendly type of person.  Growing up on a military base, you're taught not to litter, not even cigarette butts.  We were always struggling, so we saved cans to recycle for that little bit of extra money.  Now, as a grown up, I try to encourage Monster to do the same thing.  I try to stay away from plastic as much as possible. We recycle a lot of things here in the country, all the way down to the chicken poop (it makes GREAT fertilizer). 

You can see here, when we go to the Zoo, we take our own cups, and I use my Glass Dharma straw!  With a year pass, we end up going to the zoo a lot!

With Earth Day this year, I wanted to do something special, so I contacted my favorite glass straw company, Glass Dharma.  I've always had a thing about drinking from a cup and ALWAYS use a straw, so using a glass straw is more preferable to me than plastic straws.  They're also prettier in my opinion.  Whenever I use my glass straw in public, I get people asking about it and I love to spread the word to be more eco-friendly. 

What makes Glass Dharma straws so strong?  They use BOROSILICATE GLASS which is the same glass used in brands such as Pyrex.  These straws are dishwasher and microwave safe. There are also several different sizes available for anything from smoothies to tea.  They can also do some special orders if you prefer those really tall cups!!

Buddha Bunz Dryer Balls Review and Giveaway

I try to be natural and eco-friendly in my small East Texas Town.

When I moved in, DH didn't use dryer sheets or dryer balls and his clothes were so full of static it drove me crazy.  So, I got dryer sheets, which he didn't like.  These days the only thing I use dryer sheets for is mosquito control when we're outside.

Now, I use dryer balls, and after buying some that fell apart I discovered Buddha Bunz.

These are 100% wool dryer balls and they work GREAT.

I use the undyed because I'm scared of the color coming off on my clothes, but I've been assured that this DOES NOT HAPPEN! (Yeah, I'm stubborn...I will stick with the undyed)

I also got to two a set with some scents and I chose the "Lily of the Valley" scent.  

Now, I was skeptical about the scents of dryer balls, but when I got them, DH actually took one of the balls and set it in the living room because he liked the smell so much.  One little ball was enough to scent my living room until I stole it back.

So, what do I have to say about Buddha Bunz dryer balls?  

These are the only kind I will use from now on!  They're natural and smell wonderful.   They won't harm Monster's cloth diapers (I dry the inserts in the dryer) and his training pants.  They're also wonderful for our clothes.  When I take my clothes out of the dryer now, they smell so nice and that scent also radiates to our room from the closet.

DONKEY TEES Review and Giveaway

I want to introduce you guys to a wonderful t-shirt company!!! Donkey Tees is a GREAT place to get all of your t-shirts!  I've followed them on twitter and facebook for over 2 years now, and their t-shirt designs are always top of the line!  Back in August, I won a t-shirt from them and got this one:

So, this one is perfect for me and I love it!

I have to say that these t-shirts are true to size, durable and very comfortable.  Add in the HUGE selection that they have and I'm hooked.  I wish I could get a t-shirt there every month!!!  They also have a children's line along with infants!  What more could you ask for?

The packaging? Perfect!  When you order something off of the internet you expect it to come in a box, and sometimes the mail person honks the horn or leaves that little orangish card saying that you have to go to the Post Office to get the package.  Not with Donkey Tees.  Both of my t-shirts came in a package that can easily fit into even the smallest apartment mailboxes.  Here's what Monster's t-shirt came in:

Very nice plastic envelope.  I'm sure if you order more, that you will get that dreaded box, but if it's one t-shirt, you get the nice mailbox friendly envelope.

Journey Pendant Giveaway

So I've been AWOL (Absent without leave) for a while.  This has been a hard year as I've had bronchitis a record 5 times (a record for me anyway).  So, I've not been feeling the greatest and have barely been online, and when I have been online, I've been slacking...to say the least. 

So, I figure I will end the year with a giveaway!!!!!
